Simple beginnings…
About me:
Imagine harvesting all you could eat blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, snap peas, veggies and salad greens fresh from the forest and your own home garden! This was my experience as far back as I can remember - thanks to the land and my parents being avid gardeners. That experience inspired a lifelong fascination with the earth and all the interesting life forms it takes.
I studied science as an undergrad and was fortunate to work a few summers for the US Forest Service in Southeast Alaska. This deepened my curiosity about the grand systems and cycles found in nature. Later, I gained numerous experiences working construction and learning how to build just about anything from the ground up. After building some backyard sanctuaries, I began to realize how much more was possible. I found a calling and continued my studies with a focus in Landscape Design Horticulture. Over the years, I’ve learned time tested principles that utilize sustainable practices resulting in landscapes that are beautiful, engaging, built to last and enrich the lives of all who experience them.
